MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

WHY JOIN MOPOA?

Residents of Mt. Olympus enjoy many benefits from the efforts of MOPOA, some unknown to many,  which are listed below:

The Association, in its role as a voluntary dues supported organization was created to promote the general welfare of the Mt. Olympus community and, in particular, its dues paying members by: 
 

1. utilizing an effective communication system and tools, developed by the Association, to keep its members informed of issues in and affecting the Mt Olympus community by: 

    a. publishing and distributing a Quarterly Newsletter

    b. maintaining an informative Website which includes posting of current developments

    c. maintaining an up-to-date residents' mailing directory and direct e-mail list

    d. providing a dedicated telephone and answering service

    e. utilizing a confidential mailbox and fax number  

2. maintaining personal contact with CD4 council office, Office of the Mayor, Hollywood and West Traffic LAPD Divisions, Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Association, Los Angeles Film Office and City Agencies such as Department of Transportation, Building and Safety and Sanitation in order to obtain top level assistance in rectifying or mitigating problems in the community. 

3. maintaining front entryway and landscaping of Mt. Olympus owned properties, lighted walls and other Mt. Olympus monuments. 

4. mediating disputes between neighbors. 

5. working with Bel Air Patrol in improving service and signing up residents. 

6. maintaining streets and gutters with frequent cleaning. 

7. holding monthly Board meetings, an annual membership meeting and other functions, and staffs ten standing committees to address the work of the Association. 

8. providing advice, contacts and resources to its members. 

9. assisting members in areas under the CC&Rs in which the Association, as Declarant, has discretion to act and would consider being involved in enforcement of the CC&Rs

MOPOA invites all homeowners and renter residents to join MOPOA and become active  by joining a committee of interest if they wish.  The committees are:

2. CC&R Compliance

3. Beautification and Maintenance

4. Community Relations

5. Mediation

6. Membership

7. Olympress

8. Traffic/Security
